It’s not “adulterating” flour. It’s adding a vitamin that is essential to a food staple that is cheap and affordable for people who don’t have the means to buy supplements or otherwise acquire the vitamin. It’s not about politics, either. And it’s not just Texas. Again, you seem to be applying your individual opinion on a public health issue. If you don’t have the expertise, then you’re doing exactly what people in “Red States” are accused of doing. So maybe politics IS a horseshoe-shaped spectrum rather than a straight line.
