Many people have brought up that proposal. The reason why it is unethical is because the children (who would be the ones hurt) don't have a say in the matter. The best thing we can do is publicly shame the parents of children hurt by their parents' refusal to accept the facts. Maybe have them sign a preemptory HIPAA waiver, so we can publicize what their children would go through.
