Two Hundred Stories and Almost 1700 Followers Later…
My writing on Medium so far.
I first embarked on Medium to write a little more professionally than I did on my blog. Those who have followed me from the blog to here have probably seen an evolution of my writing. At least I hope that is the case, since I’ve been writing on Medium since 2015. That’s almost ten years since that short story about one more term during my doctoral studies.
I ended up writing 18 stories on Medium in 2015, three in 2016, nine in 2017, and then only two in 2018. It was in the latter part of 2017 and early part of 2018 that I was writing my doctoral dissertation, so any other kinds of writing took a backseat to my dissertation. In fact, it wouldn’t be until August of 2019 that I returned to writing on Medium to write two more articles that year. And then 2020 happened.
Once the pandemic seemed inevitable, I turned my attention to writing more about public health and epidemiology. I wanted to inform the public on what was going on and why some public health measures were necessary. I started with an…
